Eleven members of the CITE faculty got a dose of project management training on December 12 and 13 to retool them with the skills in planning, organizing, executing, and evaluating a project which they are currently handling.
The training was workshop-based with theories drawn from the outputs of the participants who were mostly faculty members and workshop heads.
The seminar was conducted by Mr. Kahlil Corazo of the University of Asia and the Pacific. Mr. Corazo leads the team in the University of Asia and the Pacific that facilitates the long-term and university-wide planning for the university. He is also Associate Director of the Development Office of the same university. Before moving into Higher Education, Mr. Corazo worked in two Fortune 100 corporations, where he managed operations and projects of global scope. He is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP) of the Project Management Institute (PMI) and is a Professional Member of the Council for Advancement and Support of Education (CASE). Aside from his work in the university, Mr. Corazo consults SMEs in strategic planning.
