For four years in a row, industry partners, scholarship grantors, and partner schools came together during the Christmas gathering on December 16 at TLC. The event was well attended by industry partners, top officials from the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA), partner schools, and scholarship grantors.

The annual gathering aimed at solidifying the ties that bind CITE and its partners in their service to the less privileged youth and their families. It was also a gesture of thanksgiving for the trust and continued support in all CITE’s endeavours and undertakings.

During the gathering, TESDA Provincial Director Buenafe Sta. Rita announced latest developments in TVET and how industry-school partnerships would likely position in the K+12 set-up. Cebu Mitsumi Inc. HRD Manager Caesar Augusto also expressed his gratitude for the partnership. Also, much to her surprise, HR Manager Fe Abarando of Montebello Villa Hotel got her birthday greetings from everyone after she was called onstage.

There were games and trivias being played while the sumptuous lunch was served. HRD Officer Mars Hamoy led the ceremonial toast and Scholarships Officer June Capuyan made some announcements on the updates of the feeding programs in public schools.   

The event was hosted by the Industry Linkage Unit headed by Industry Linkage Manager Jon Mercado and Industry Coordination Officer Marlon Valencia.
