What is ISTP? A: ISTP stands for Industrial Skills Training Program which is a six-month The course for young people who would like to acquire entry level skills in any of these specializations: Industrial Assembler/Operator Course and Computer-Aided Design and Drafting (CADD) Operator Course. Q: How can I get into the program? A: You must be male or female high school graduates with age between 18 and 24 years old upon enrollment.Your family income should not exceed Php 60,000.00. Q: What if I'm qualified? A: You should pass the admission test conducted by the school every third Saturday of the month. Testing fee is Php30.00. You can call us in a week's time to know the result of your exam. If you passed, you should submit all your requirements to the Registrar's Office for processing. You will be scheduled to undergo a Special Orientation Program (SOP) for two days at ATC Center in TESDA Compound. During the SOP, you will undergo classes in Math and English and physical fitness test. Our staff will also conduct an interview with you and your parents. Q: What are the requirements? A: After you passed the admission test, we require you to submit four pieces 1X1 ID pictures (with blue background), four photocopies of high school report card (Form 137) or transfer credentials (for college level), four photocopies of birth certificate, one photocopy of certificate of good moral character, and four photocopies of your parent's latest Income Tax Return (ITR) or a certificate of tax exemption from BIR in case your parents are unemployed. Q: How am I going to be selected? A: You will be ranked among other applicants based on your performance during the SOP, score in the admission test, final grades in high school, and family income. If you passed through the process, you will be officially enrolled in the Industrial Skills Training Program (ISTP). The medical examination, signing of contract, and orientation on the program will follow. Q: What if I failed in any of the screening process? A: You may take the admission test again in the next school year. |
